MARY B. PENDLETON, selected in the field of construction and real estate law as one of ten "Top Attorneys" in 2005 by the San Diego Daily Transcript, focuses her broad practice on professional counseling and advocating on behalf of national and California-based companies on contract negotiations, risk management, insurance issues and transactional disputes. Ms. Pendleton has significant experience in litigating on behalf of the firm's clients in diverse areas of the practice including construction litigation, real estate litigation, professional and product liability and personal injury litigation.
Ms. Pendleton also has extensive experience in governmental and private premises liability matters. She has tried more than $75,000,000.00 in damages alleged by and against some of the firm's clients. She is a current member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, stays abreast of current legislative activities for the benefit of the firm's clients by serving as the San Diego Delegate to California Defense Counsel and, in that capacity, has testified before the joint session of the California Senate and Assembly Juducuary Committees. She also serves as a member of the Associated General Contractor's Government Relations Committee. Ms. Pendleton has been asked to present as a writer and speaker before many audiences including Defense Research Institute (construction litigation/ethics), San Diego Defense Lawyers (construction industry legislation) and West Coast Casualty Construction Law Conference (modern construction claims and handling).
Ms. Pendleton was designated a Super Lawyer in construction litigation within Southern California, San Diego for 2007 and again in 2008.
